Fans of CloverWorks’ anime may recognize a familiar backdrop in the latest episode of Aobuta (The Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity). The summer fireworks scene featuring Rintaro, Waguri, and their friends was filmed at none other than Shichirigahama Beach in Japan—a location also prominently featured in the beloved series Rascal Does Not Dream.

Throughout the Rascal Does Not Dream series, the anime has showcased this iconic beach and the surrounding Enoshima area. Meanwhile, Kaoru Hana (Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity) highlighted Shichirigahama Beach in its recent beach episode. Side-by-side comparison photos reveal just how faithfully both CloverWorks anime, and even the manga, capture the real-life charm of this scenic location.

This 2025 summer season, both The Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity and Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus are airing new episodes. Kaoru Hana is available for streaming on Netflix, while Aobuta streams on Crunchyroll.
