'Spy x Family CODE: White' anime film sets showing dates in Southeast Asia, starts February 2024

The wait is almost over for Southeast Asian fans!

After its continuous success in Japan, film distributor Encore Films announces on Monday that 'Spy x Family CODE: White' film is coming to the Southeast Asian cinemas.

Starting in Indonesia, the original anime film's release date will be on February 7, while Singapore on February 8, Vietnam on February 10, Malaysia and Brunei on February 22, and the Philippines on March 13.

Since December 2023, Spy x Family CODE: White has been dominating Japanese cinemas with estimated amount of 5.2 billion yen (around US$36 million) as of January 20, according to the Kogyo Tsushin, a Japan-based box office tracker company.

Creator and mangaka Tatsuya Endou will be the supervisor for the said anime film, with Takahashi Katagiri will be assigned as the director. WIT Studio and CloverWorks will once again work as the animation productions with Kazuhiro Furuhashi as the animation director. While voice actors Takuya Eguchi, Atsumi Tanezaki, Saori Hayami, and Kenichiro Matsuda will reprise their roles as Loid Forger/Twilight, Anya Forger, Yor Forger/Thorn Princess, and Bond Forger, respectively.

According to Crunchyroll, the synopsis of Spy x Family is as shows:

World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. 

He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
