The series was adapted into a 12-episode anime by Madhouse, which aired in 2014, and later received a prequel film, No Game No Life: Zero, in 2017. Despite its popularity, there has been no official announcement regarding a second season. Recent rumors circulating online about a continuation of the anime have been debunked, with no confirmation from official sources.
The No Game No Life light novel series Volume 13 was first announced earlier this year, following a nearly three-year hiatus, after the release of Volume 12 in February 2023.
Ahead of its release, a new key visual/cover illustration for Volume 13 was revealed, marking the first major promotional update for the volume since its announcement.
On April 24, 2026, Volume 13 officially released in Japan, and on the same day, a new promotional trailer was also unveiled, further highlighting the return of the series and its ongoing storyline.
Crunchyroll streaming season 1, describes the story:
Sora and Shiro are shut-in NEET siblings who are known in the online gaming world as Blank, an undefeated group of gamers. One day, they are summoned to another world by a boy named Tet, where wars are forbidden and everything is decided by games—even national borders.
