Final Volume "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend" Released After a Decade
The popular light novel series Rascal Does Not Dream by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi has officially ended after over a decade. The 15th and final volume, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend, was released on October 10, marking the end of the series that began in April 2014.
The light novel series was written by Hajime Kamoshida, and Keji Mizoguchi who drew the illustrations. ASCII Media Works began publishing it under their Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2014, releasing a total of 15 volumes. The anime adaptation by CloverWorks includes Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV series, which adapts volumes 1-5 of the light novel plus three sequel films: Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (vol. 6-7), Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out (vol.8), and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid (vol.9).
Addionally, it was announced that the anime adaptation of the series continues with a new project, titled Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, slated for 2025.
