Cebuano book lovers have a new destination to explore as Fully Booked and Kinokuniya opened their first co-branded bookstore outside Metro Manila at SM City Cebu on August 22, 2025.
The new branch is the fifth Fully Booked x Kinokuniya collaboration in the Philippines, following earlier openings at Mitsukoshi BGC, SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, and Glorietta 4. With this launch, Fully Booked has expanded its nationwide network to 46 stores.
The Cebu store brings together Fully Booked’s wide range of trade books and Kinokuniya’s expertise in Japanese titles, offering readers a well-curated collection of Japanese manga (in both Japanese and English), literature, art books, and language-learning materials. Visitors will also find trendy figurines, collectibles, and Japanese stationery, making it a one-stop shop for book and pop culture fans alike.
Fully Booked is the country’s leading specialty bookstore, known for its extensive range of books across genres and its creative, reader-friendly spaces. Kinokuniya, founded in Tokyo in 1927, is Japan’s largest bookstore chain with more than 100 branches worldwide, renowned for its rich catalog of Japanese and international titles.
During the opening weekend, customers were treated to exclusive promos, including a Fully Booked Discount Card for purchases worth ₱3,000 and 50% off on select branded tote bags.
The Fully Booked x Kinokuniya Cebu branch is located on the 2nd Level, North Wing of SM City Cebu.
