Crunchyroll has officially launched its new Crunchyroll Manga app, marking the company’s full return to digital manga distribution. The app is now available on iOS and Android in the United States and Canada, with a web version set to follow on October 15.

The platform offers an ad-free reading experience, offline downloads, and customizable viewing options such as light and dark modes. At launch, fans can explore titles from top publishers including VIZ Media, Yen Press, Square Enix, AlphaPolis, and COMPASS, with Shueisha and J-Novel Club expected to join later.

Crunchyroll Manga is free for Ultimate Fan subscribers and available as a $4 monthly add-on for other Crunchyroll plans.

In its official statement, Crunchyroll highlighted the new app as a step toward uniting anime and manga fans under one ecosystem, with a library spanning iconic and new titles like One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Dress-Up Darling.

The launch follows Crunchyroll’s previous manga service, which was discontinued in 2023. With this new app, the company aims to reestablish itself as a major player in digital manga distribution — combining its global anime reach with a renewed focus on accessible manga experiences.

Fans in additional regions are expected to gain access in future updates as Crunchyroll expands localization and publisher partnerships.
