The highly anticipated Genshin Impact anime adaptation has been formally confirmed as part of Ufotable’s official future project slate, signaling continued progress on a long-teased production that fans have awaited for years.

During a recent promotional highlight reel released by the acclaimed Japanese animation studio, Genshin Impact was spotlighted alongside other upcoming works, reaffirming that development remains active. In the footage, a new teaser visual featuring the Traveler twins — Lumine and Aether — was unveiled, offering the first substantial glimpse into the anime’s aesthetic direction since the collaboration was originally announced.

The anime project was first announced in September 2022 as part of a long-term creative partnership between Ufotable and Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse, but details have been sparse until now. While the inclusion in Ufotable’s lineup confirms its production status, key information such as the format (TV series, feature film, or online release), voice cast, story focus, distribution platform, and official release date have not yet been disclosed.

Fans are eagerly awaiting further updates, especially after years of speculation and limited visual material. This latest confirmation and teaser release marks a notable step forward, suggesting the project is building momentum toward a future release.
